Let’s be real for a second.  We’ve ALL taken breaks from Instagram — whether it's a much-needed vacation, a creative slump, or just pure exhaustion from all the social media noise. And guess what? That’s okay! Taking a break is necessary sometimes. But when you're ready to jump back in and bring your Instagram account back to life, there’s a system that works like magic, every single time.

Lucky for you, today’s the day I’m spilling all the tea on how to do it! 

Here’s a simple, yet powerful, system I use for myself AND my clients. 

1. Create a Post or Reel that Introduces YOU Again
   First things first – let people know what’s been going on.  Whether it’s about your business, personal life, or what you've been up to during your time away, this post or Reel is the key to reconnecting with your audience. Keep it real, keep it authentic – this is your chance to reintroduce yourself. Show them what makes you, YOU!
2. Get Your Face on Stories with an Engaging Poll
   Now that you’ve got their attention with your post, it’s time to hit up your Instagram Stories!  And, no, it’s not just about showing up; it's about getting people to engage. Pop a selfie (or video) on there, but here's the catch – include a poll. Ask a question your audience can’t help but answer. Think easy, fun, and something they actually care about! Your goal is to create an interactive moment that pulls them in.

Pro Tip: Post your story early in the morning for maximum views. 

3. Engage Like Your Business Depends on It (Because It Does)
   This step is where the magic really happens.  For at least one hour (or engage with 50 people), dive into Instagram and start commenting, liking, and responding to stories and posts. This is what builds connections and sparks engagement. It’s not just about posting, it’s about being SOCIAL on social media. Make your presence known, and engage like you mean it. Make sure you are using more than 4 words, no copying and pasting (or it will be flagged for spam) this is ACTUAL genuine comments. 

   Think, what would I say to this person if they told me this in person?
